Difficult starting (03_11)

START UP WITH THE ENGINE FLOOD-
ED
If the start up procedure is not correctly
followed, or in the case of too much fuel
in the intake tubes or the carburetor, the
engine could flood.
To clean a flooded engine:

Push the start up button «7» for
a few seconds (letting the en-
gine run in neutral) with the
throttle grip completely turned.
COLD STARTUP
In the case of low ambient temperature
(near or below 32 °F - 0° C) you may have
difficulty starting up.
In this case:
Keep the starter button pressed
for five seconds «7» and at the
same time turn the throttle grip
moderately.
If the engine starts up
Let go of the throttle grip.
If the idle speed is irregular,
work on the throttle grip using
small, frequent rotations.
If the engine does not start up
Wait a few seconds and repeat
the procedure of STARTING IN
THE COLD.

DÉMARRAGE AVEC MOTEUR NOYÉ
Si la procédure de démarrage n'est pas
correctement réalisée, ou en cas d'excès
de carburant dans les conduits d'aspira-
tion et dans le carburateur, le moteur
pourrait se noyer.
Pour nettoyer un moteur noyé :
Appuyer sur le bouton de dé-
marrage « 7 » pendant quelques
secondes (en faisant tourner le
moteur à vide) avec la poignée
d'accélérateur complètement
tournée.
DÉMARRAGE À FROID
En cas de température ambiante basse
(proche ou inférieure à 32 °F [0 °C]), on
pourrait rencontrer des difficultés au pre-
mier démarrage.
Dans un tel cas :
Insister pendant cinq secondes
avec le bouton de démarrage «
7 » actionné et en même temps
tourner modérément la poignée
d'accélérateur.
Si le moteur démarre.
Relâcher la poignée d'accéléra-
teur.
Si le ralenti est instable, agir sur
la poignée d'accélérateur par
petites et fréquentes rotations.
Si le moteur ne démarre pas.
