    Frankfurt am Main. Comprehensive information about time and date is then transferred into the DCF transmitter located in Mainflingen near to Frankfurt. The transmitter transmits long-wave signals at 77.5 kHz frequency.     The function is activated by a sensor connected to the Master clock. If the sensor detects the movement of the bell, its output closes and the main clock blocks the striking.
