4 DESCRIPTION OF THE OPERATIONS
Power Up
When an iMilkNano panel is powered up, it begins a start-up procedure. The panel checks the electrical
connection on the panel, the connection between all microprocessors present in the PCB and the network
connection with other panels. During this procedure, the display shows the writing milkrite | InterPuls followed
by the device's name and the software revision.
After the start-up procedure, the iMilkNano goes in stand-by mode.
Stand-By
The stand-by mode can be considered the sleeping status of the panel. In stand-by, the milking station
address is shown as scrolling.
When the panel is set in stand-by mode, it removes power to all unnecessary exits and loads, and activates
the power saving mode.
WARNING
It is highly recommended to keep the panel always powered! In order to reduce the power
consumption, set the panel in stand-by mode when not milking. The stand-by mode maintains
the correct temperature and humidity inside the box and can assure a better performance and
durability of the device.
NOTE
After 30 minutes of inactivity the display and the LEDs turn off. To indicate that the device is
powered, the dot in the bottom right-hand corner of the display stays on. If the button is
pressed or any network command is sent, the panels show their addresses scrolling again.
