Thread connections (unions, adapters) tightening torque: For plastic threads, it is generally
sufficient to tighten by hand with an additional ½ rotation using a suitable tool, in order to realize a
tight seal. The pipe wrenches customarily used in steel pipe construction are not permissible. For
bigger sizes, a pipe wrench with belt can be used. Never use force when installing plastic fittings. It
is especially important that the pipe installation is low stress.
