Precautions for Handling the Manual Feed Slot or Paper
Cassette
Be careful of the following points when handling the manual feed slot or paper
cassette.
IMPORTANT
• When any paper is in the manual feed slot, you cannot feed paper from the paper
cassette. If you are printing from the paper cassette, remove any paper loaded in the
manual feed slot.
• Do not pull out the paper cassette while the printer is printing. This may result in paper
jams or damage to the printer.

Select a paper source. Options to be
specified differ depending on the setting
[Auto]
for [Paper Selection].
[Manual Feed Slot]
When printing heavy paper,
[Cassette 1]
transparencies, or labels from the paper
[Cassette 2]*
cassette, select [Cassette 1] or [Cassette
2]. When [Auto] is selected, paper cannot
be fed from the paper cassette.
[Plain Paper]
[Plain Paper L]
[Heavy Paper 1]
[Heavy Paper 2]
Specify the type of paper. (See p. 3-3)
[Transparency]
[Label]
[Envelope]
[Envelope L]
It is not recommended to print the other
side of paper previously printed by this
printer. However, if you have to print on
-
both sides of paper, select the [Print on
the Other Side] check box when printing
the other side of the previously printed
paper.
