Performing Data Synchronisation

If a cable is to be used for the connection between the PC and the device, make sure a Motorola
Sync cable is connected to the COM port of the PC. Also, make sure the power plug is connected
to the other end of the Sync Cable (if the power plug is not connected, synchronisation may fail).
If Infrared connection is used for data synchronisation, make sure that IrDA is installed correctly.
Not all the PC's have Infrared capability.

Run the TrueSync
software.

Tap
at the main menu to enter the Synchronise display.

If the serial cable is used, tap Data Cable. Phone will show "Connect Cable and Charger to
Synchronise" to start synchronisation.

Press OK to start TrueSync

If you are using Infrared connection, tap Infrared Link and phone will show "Looking for
Computer". Synchronisation will start once the phone can detect the computer.
If synchronisation was unsuccessful, error messages will be displayed.
! When encountering Low Battery, Interruption of Infrared beam connection, PC system
malfunctioning or Internet malfunctioning, Synchronisation will stop immediately and an error
message will be shown.
