Your device contains an integrated modem that is used to establish a data connection between
your device and computer. Connection is made either through a Data Cable, or by using Infrared
transmission.
The A008 also supports the connection of a PC to itself using IrDA, the PC will then be able to use
the modem function to connect to the Internet. In addition to IrDA capability, you will need to
install the GPRS Wizard onto your computer as well. This GPRS Wizard can be executed under
Windows 98 and Windows NT environments. For more details concerning the GPRS Wizard and its
installation, please refer to the document contained with the CD.
The A008 modem supports both CSD and GPRS to connect to the Internet. Your dial-in number
and settings depend on which method you choose. For more information, please contact your local
ISP.

Tap
at the Main Menu. Your device will automatically check to see if a data cable is
present. If the cable is connected, you may enable the Data Cable connection and select the
required baud rate for data transmission.

Tap
to select the baud rate. The options are: 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600 and 115200 bits
per second.

Tap On at the Data Cable: prompt to use the Data cable for data transmission.
If an error occurs during transmission, the message Data Cable Disconnected will be displayed.
