10.5 Inferring Causes from Conditions: Abnormal
Outputs

■ No Control Output or No Alarm Output

Abnormal temperature measurement.
Incorrect load polarity or incorrect terminal
connections.
The connected load exceeds the output
specifications.
A load power supply is not connected to a transistor
output.
The polarity of the load power supply connected to
the transistor output is incorrect.
Operation stops after the power is turned ON.
Control has not been started.
The wrong channel is specified.
The wrong SP is set.
The wrong program number is set.
When using event inputs to set the program
number, the inputs are not held ON or OFF.
An attempt was made to use communications to set
the program number when using event inputs were
being used to set the program number.
The alarm mode is set to 0 (No Alarm).
An alarm with a standby sequence is specified.
A deviation alarm is mistakenly set for an absolute-
value alarm, or vice-versa.

Possible cause
Solution

Wire correctly.
• Do not exceed the specifications.
• Repair in the event of a failure.
Use a power supply suitable for the output
specifications and load.
Wire correctly.
• Send the Run command after turning ON the
power.
• Set operation to continue at startup.
Send the Run command.
Set the correct channel number.
Set the correct SP.
Set the correct program number
Keep the contacts ON or OFF to specify the
program number.
The latest specification takes priority regardless of
the program number specification method.
Set the correct alarm mode.
Specify an alarm without a standby sequence.
Set the correct alarm mode.
