Thermal fan assembly
For access, remove this FRU: "Base cover assembly" on page 58.
Step 1.
Remove the thermal fan assembly as shown below.
Step 2.
When installing:
• Ensure that the connector is attached firmly.
• Do not press the top of the fan cover and the fan hub.
• Before you attach the fan assembly to the computer, clean all thermal grease that has been used
and then apply new thermal grease. Apply new thermal grease at an amount of 0.2 grams, on
the parts marked
of grease can cause a thermal problem due to imperfect contact with a component.
