Gas detection and alarm unit (not stocked by MTU)
WARNING
Gaseous fuels are combustible/explosive.
Risk of fire and explosion!
• Avoid open flames, electrical sparks and ignition sources.
• Carry gas-warning unit (part of the personal safety equipment).
• Do not smoke.
Checking machine room for smell of gas
1. Check machine room for smell of gas or localize gas supply leaks using gas detection and alarm unit.
2. If smell of gas is detected or the gas detection and alarm unit is triggered:
• Avoid naked flames!
• Avoid sparks! Do not use electrical appliances (including switches, connectors/sockets, telephone, bell).
• Do not smoke!
• Close main gas shutoff device!
• Open windows and doors!
• Warn residents and leave building!
• Call gas supplier from outside the building!
