Selectors
AlthougheachInput Selector_
is normally
assigned to the categoryof productshownon
the remote,it is possible to reassignoneof
thesebuttonsto operatea seconddeviceof
anothertype.Forexample, i f you havetwo VCRs
but no satellitereceiver, y ou mayprogramthe
"SAT"buttonto operatea secondVCR.Before
following the normalprogramming stepsfor
eitherThree-Digit e ntryor Auto Search code
entry,you mustfirst reassign the buttonwith the
following steps:
1. Pressthe Input Selector _
you wishto
reassign andthe Mute Button _
at the
sametime until the red light appearsunder
the Input Selector _
andthe Program/
SPLIndicator _
flashesamber.
2. Pressthe Input Selector_
for the device
you wishto programinto the reassigned
button.
3. Enterthe three-digitcodefor the specific
modelyou wish the reassigned button to
operate.
4. Pressthe sameInput Selector_
pressed
in Step1 onceagainto storethe selection.
TheredLEDunderthe re-assigned Input
Selector w ill flash threetimes andthen go
out.
Example:Tousethe CBIJSAT button to
operatea second VCR,first pressthe
CBL/SAT Input Selector _
andthe
Mute Button _
at the sametime until
the redlight glows under the CBL/SAT
button. Press the VCR _
Button, followed
bythe three-digitcodefor the specificmodel
you wishto control.Finally, p ressthe
CBI./SAT Button _
again.
Resettingthe Remote Memory
Asyou addcomponents to yourhome4heater
system, o ccasionally y ou maywish to totally
reprogram the remotecontrolwithout the confu-
sionof anycommands, m acrosor "Punch-
Through"programming that you may have
done.Todo this, it is possibleto resetthe
remoteto the originalfactorydefaultsandcom-
mandcodesbyfollowing thesesteps.Note,
however, t hat oncethe remoteis reset,all com-
mandsor codesthat you haveenteredwill be
erasedandwill needto be re-entered:
1. Press any of the Input SelectorButtons
and the "0" Button _
at the same
time until the Program/SPI.Indicator
beginsto flashamber.
2. Press the "3" Button _
threetimes.
3. Thered LEDunderthe Input Selectorq_l
will go out and the Program/SPL Indicator
will stop flashingandturn green.
4. TheProgram/SPL Indicator _
will remain
greenuntilthe remoteis reset.Notethat this
maytake a while,dependingon how many
commands a rein the memoryandneedto be
erased.
5.Whenthe Program/SPL Indicator O
goes
out,the remotehasbeenresetto the factory
settings.
