Connecting display devices

Your Matrox Meteor-II /Display for CompactPCI graphics board can be
connected to both analog and digital display devices, depending on the version
purchased. To connect a digital monitor (a monitor that uses digital input, usually
a flat panel monitor) to your Matrox board, your monitor must have a DVI
connector. P&D and MDR-20 connectors are not supported.
The type of monitors your board supports depends on the version you have:
• DVI/HD-15. This board features both a DVI and an HD-15 connector. Use the
HD-15 connector to connect an analog monitor, and the DVI connector to
connect a digital monitor. You can use the included DVI-to-HD15 adapter to
connect to a second analog monitor, if required.
• DVI/DVI. This board features two DVI connectors. You can connect up to two
digital monitors directly to your board.
• HD-15/HD-15. Two HD-15 (blue) connectors. You can connect up to two
monitors directly to your board.
Some monitors with DVI connectors support both digital and analog input. If
you are using one of these monitors with your Matrox product, make sure it is
configured to use the correct type of input. For more information, see your
monitor documentation.
Before changing monitor connections of your board, ensure your computer is
turned off. While your computer is turned on, it might be using monitor settings
that are specific to the current monitor connections. Some devices might be
permanently damaged if incorrect settings are used.
