9.1
Positions and Combinations of MRcards
The slots in the MRX are enumerated from the left with #1 ... #2 (MRX2) or #1 ...
#3 (MRX3) or #1 ... #5 (MRX5). This enumeration is also visible at the base PCB if
individual MRcards or front covers are removed.
9.1.1 Slot for 4+1-port switch
The left slot (#1) when viewed from the front is always designed for the base card
with integrated 4+1-port switch for all, the MRX2 with two slots as well as the
MRX3 with three slots and the MRX5 with five slots. This plug-in card is necessary
for the operation of the MRX and can only be inserted in this slot; it is also not pos-
sible to insert a different MRcard in this slot. Therefore, do not remove this plug-in
card.
