Annual Maintenance

ASD.Document 600540 Rev. C
See the set-up section of the specific light accessory purchased for the
procedure for changing the bulb.
Provide adequate room ventilation, such as is suitable for human comfort to
avoid overheating the equipment. Insufficient ventilation could result in
damage to the instrument and corrupted data.
Do not cover the vents of the instrument.
Do not place objects on the unit or its power supplies. Prevent objects from
obstructing ventilation slits.
Keep objects and spills from entering or falling onto the instrument, all power
supplies, and software disks.
Turn off the unit.
Disconnect from all power.
Allow the unit to cool down.
Clean unit with a slightly damp cloth and mild soap.
Be sure all soap residue is removed and all surfaces are dry before use.
ASD recommends that the instrument be recalibrated once a year. This will
ensure that the wavelengths are accurate and that the instrument is still
functioning properly. Annual maintenance is covered under ASD's one-year
warranty, the extended service contract, or it can be purchased. If you are
interested in purchasing annual maintenance or an extended service contract,
please contact your sales representative.
