16.3 Disassembly of actuator from ball valve body
Do not open the actuator!
▶ Risk of severe injury or death!
▶ Manufacturer's warranty will be voided.
1. Depressurize the control medium.
2. Unscrew the control medium line(s) 1 on the actuator.
3. Unscrew the hexagon screws 5.
4. Do not lose the washers 4.
5. Remove the actuator 2 from the ball valve body 3.

1. Use appropriate protective gear as specified in plant oper-

ator's guidelines.
2. Shut off plant or plant component.

3. Secure against recommissioning.
4. Depressurize the plant or plant component.
5. Fully unscrew the nuts 1.
6. Pull out the bolts 3.
7. Remove the ball valve 2.

Important:
▶ Clean all parts of contamination (do not damage the
parts during cleaning) following removal. Check parts for
potential damage; replace if necessary (only use genuine
parts from GEMÜ).
