After the installation:
Important:
Diaphragms set in the course
of time. After valve installation
and commissioning you must
retighten the bolts 18 and nuts 20
(see chapter 20 "Sectional
drawings and spare parts").
Reactivate all safety and protective

devices.

Control function
The following control function is available:

Control function 5

Closed by control pressure,
opened by operating pressure:
Valve resting position: opened by operating
pressure. Activation of the actuator (con-
nector 4) closes the valve. When the control
medium pressure is turned off, the pipeline
operating pressure reopens the valve.

Connecting the control medium

CAUTION
Only use control medium lines with
cylindrical threads!
® Using conical threads can cause
stress cracking at the control medium
connector.
Important:
Connect the control medium lines
tension-free and without any bends
or knots!
Use appropriate connectors
according to the application.

Valve disassembly (removing
actuator from body)
1. Remove the valve from the plant.
2. Remove actuator A from valve body 1.
Important:
After disassembly, clean all parts
of contamination (do not damage
parts). Check parts for potential
damage, replace if necessary (only
use genuine parts from GEMÜ).
