1 Scope of delivery

EN/ENR flush-mounted wall fan, internal cover
incl. retaining screw, these installation and oper-
ating instructions.

2 Safety instructions

Please read the instructions carefully before in-
stalling and using for the first time. Follow the in-
structions. Pass these instructions on to the
owner for safekeeping.
The fan may only be installed, set up, retrofitted,
commissioned, cleaned, serviced or repaired by
installers specialised in ventilation techno-
logy. Electrical connection, commissioning, main-
tenance and repairs may only be carried out by a
qualified electrician in accordance with DGUV
regulation 3, Section 2 (3) and in compliance with
the relevant standards (e.g. DIN EN 50110-1) and
technical rules. Further provisions of other na-
tional laws must be taken into account.

Qualifications, requirements: Specialist training
and knowledge of compulsory technical stand-
ards, EU Directives and EU Ordinances. The in-
stallations must be carried out professionally. Ap-
plicable accident prevention regulations, occupa-
tional health and safety measures (protective
clothing in good repair etc.) must be observed. In-
stallation work by trainees is only permitted under
the supervision of the above-mentioned trained
specialists.
• Risk of combustion/fire from flammable ma-
terials, liquids or gases in the vicinity of the
fan. Do not place any flammable materials, li-
quids or gases near the fan, which may ignite in
the event of heat or sparks and catch fire.
• Attention: Damage to unit due to steam-sat-
urated or greasy air or adhering solid
particles. Steam-saturated or greasy air or
solid particles which may adhere to the unit,
can soil the unit and reduce the efficiency.
Never use fan to convey these substances.
• Danger: Explosive gases and dust may ig-
nite and cause serious explosions or fire.
Never use fan unit in an explosive atmosphere
(risk of explosion).
• Risk to health from chemicals or aggressive
gases/vapours. Chemicals or aggressive
gases/vapours may harm health, especially if
they are distributed throughout the rooms by
the unit. Never use fan to distribute chemicals
or aggressive gases/vapours.
• Risk of death from carbon monoxide when op-
erating with air-ventilated fireplaces. Ensure
sufficient supply air intake when operating with
air-ventilated fireplaces. Observe the maximum
permitted pressure difference of 4 Pa. This
model always requires the approval of a re-
gional master chimney sweep.
• Risks for children and people with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or a
lack of knowledge. Fan may only be installed,
commissioned, cleaned and maintained by per-
sons who can safely recognise and avoid the
risks associated with this work.
• Choking hazard if packaging materials are
swallowed. Keep foil materials and small parts
away from children.
• Risk of injury due to suction from the unit
and rotating impeller. Hair, clothing, jewellery
etc. may be pulled into the unit if you get too
close to the fan. Keep sufficient distance during
operation. Do not insert any objects into the fan.
