Check airtightness

Carry out a leak test once a month.
9.5.3.1
Leak test of the suction plate
1.
Place the device with the suction plate on a dense and flat surface (e.g. steel plate).
2.
Switch on the vacuum.
3.
Wait until the required vacuum is reached (the device switches off automatically at approx. -0.66 bar).
4. Lift the sucked load (steel plate) a little (20-30 cm).
→ The load must not fall down during the leak test!
If the vacuum decreases and the vacuum pump can build up the required vacuum again by pumping, the suction
plate can be used!
After the test, place the load on the floor and remove it (manual slide valve →).

Leak test of the device (without suction plate)
1.
Remove the vacuum hose from the suction plate.
2.
Switch on the vacuum pump.
3.
Seal the opening of the vacuum hose (e.g. with your thumb).
4. Wait until the required vacuum is reached (the device switches off at approx. -0.66 bar).
5.
Switch off the vacuum pump. The vacuum may fall by a maximum of 0.1 bar within 5 minutes.
Rectify any faults before starting the device. Should faults occur during operation, switch off the device and rectify the
faults.

Danger from falling load in the event of vacuum failure
The load may come loose and fall off during inspection.
Lift load only 20-30 cm and move feet out of danger zone.
