Yes. Only certain UPS models and specific software versions can connect to the
lithium batteries. For details, contact after-sales engineers.
8.3 Can Alarms Generated by the SmartLi Be Reported
to the UPS?
The SmartLi is directly connected to the NMS. Alarms are directly reported to the
NMS, but not to the UPS monitoring system.

The SmartLi is powered on. The green indicator on the BCU blinks fast (10
Hz) and the red indicator is steady on.
If alarms are generated, handle them by following the alarm handling
suggestions.
The circuit breaker needs to be switched from OFF to ON. That is, if the circuit
breaker has tripped, it needs to be switched to OFF and then to ON.
