3. Install the module.
Make sure system power is off; then insert the module into the
I/O chassis. In this example procedure, the module is inserted
into slot 1.
4. Connect thermocouple wires to channel 0 on the module's
terminal block.
Make sure both cold-junction compensation (CJC) devices are
securely attached.

5. Configure the software to accept the module.
Type the module's ID and assigned slot (slot 1 in this example)
into the system I/O configuration.

Ground the thermocouple's cable shield
