3. Testing and adjustment: Hold the operating lever (H) down until the piston comes out to the
maximum position. Stop immediately when the maximum position has been reached. If the
maximum stroke length cannot be reached - check whether the oil level is as prescribed (See
the operating manual). Fill up the oil if needed.
4. Return the piston by pulling up the operating lever (H) - thereby eliminating any possible air in
the hydraulic system.

Checking of the table pins
Action 3L: Check that pins are straight and show no signs of crack
deformation, corrosion or other defects. If in doubt, replace with new pins.
Check the press markings
Action 3M: Check that all labels and warnings are intact and legible.
If not, obtain new labels and warnings by contacting Compac.
Check the electrical installation of the press
Action 3P: Inspection of electrical installation must be performed by a
certified electrician. The electrical installation, motor, protective motor switch
and wires of the press must be checked at least once annually, or if the
electrical installation has been damaged, or a malfunction has occurred. The
press must not be used before the fault has been corrected by a certified
electrician. Only CE marked parts may be used.
The pump's stop/go function must be checked when the checking of the
electrical installation is carried out. Note! in the neutral position all piston
movement must stop!
Test of the hydraulic system under pressure:
Pump the piston down to both v-blocks.
Use a cushioning plate on the v-blocks to protect them and the piston head.
Make sure that the table is properly supported by pins under the table.
Ensure that the pins are correctly placed.
Build up pressure by pumping until nominal load is achieved.
Keep the press at this pressure for two minutes. If the pressure loss is less
than 5 Tonnes after 2 minutes, then the hydraulic system is working properly
and is sufficiently free of leaks. (There must not be any flow of oil from the
hydraulic system.)
Release the piston and let it return to its start position
