IQ Series thermometers offer simple analogue 'plug & play' and digital methods
of communication.
3.1 Thermometer configuration
3.1.1 Principal Features
All IQ models include laser sighting to denote the centre of the measurement
area. Activating the laser can be done using either the push-button mounted
on the top of the connection PCB or by an external volt free contact closure
across the LSRin and Com terminals on the connection PCB. Once activated the
laser will remain illuminated for a period of 120 seconds.
They also have RS485 digital communications, signal processing, 2 x relay
alarms and include PC configuration software which is used to configure all of

Fixed, color-coded spacers allow the user to set the focus distance as they wish
to any of the four pre-defined available distances. Note: Changing the focus
distance does not affect instrument calibration.
