air or water leaks.
Ensure that the thermometer lens is clean, free from contaminants and
unobstructed.
Ensure that all piping and cables are safely stowed, as determined by local
safety procedures.
Ensure that any instrument cables are routed clear of any "noisy" cables.
This is generally considered good practice, helping to avoid electrical
interference.
9. It is recommended that a local maintenance procedure should be
determined, with particular attention to thermometer lens cleanliness and
services integrity.

6.2 Enhanced and Premium Variant Thermometers

Connect power across the 24V dc terminals and the thermometer will produce
a linear 4-20 mA temperature output across the mA out terminals. Emissivity/
non greyness control can be achieved by connecting a 0-20 mA input across the
EMin terminals. However, if these terminals are left open, the thermometer will
use its default emissivity/non greyness;
• IQ1 – 0.82
• IQ2 – 0.86
• IQ5 – 0.97
• IQR – 1.00.
Emissivity/non greyness value can also be set digitally from within the IQ Series
configuration software, or using the RS485 digital communications.
Laser alignment can be activated either by pushing the button situated at the
top of the PCB, by momentarily applying a volt free contact between the Com
and LSRin terminals, by pressing the appropriate button from within the IQ
series configuration software or by sending the appropriate command over the
RS485 digital communications link.
