− Do not use loose-fitting reducing
rings; the saw blade could work
loose.
− Saw blades have to be mounted
in such way that they do not
wobble or run out of balance, and
can not work loose during opera-
tion.
9.
Put on the outer blade flange (102).
10. Turn in the arbor bolt (101) (left-
hand thread!)
and tighten finger-
tight only.
Danger!
− Do not extend arbor bolt tighte-
ning wrench.
− Do not tighten arbor bolt by hit-
ting the Allen key.
− After tightening the arbor bolt do
not forget to remove the retention
pin!
11. Replace table insert (98) flush with
the table top.
12. Install the blade guard (99).

10.3 Care and maintenance

Danger!
The checks and procedures
described here are meant to help ope-
rate the machine safely! Should there
be faults evident on any of these com-
ponents, the machine must not be
used until these faults have been
remedied in a workmanlike manner.
Before starting any work
1.
Check power supply cable for dam-
age, if necessary have replaced by
a qualified electrician.
2.
Remove sawdust and chips.
3.
Check cutter knives for:
− tight seat
− sharpness
− general condition
(no notches etc.)
4.
Check the thicknesser's anti-kick-
back lock:
− mobility of anti-kickback fingers
(must fall down by their own
weight)
− points of anti-kickback fingers
(not rounded)
5.
Check circular saw:
− Distance saw blade – riving knife
OK? (3 – 5 mm)
− Riving knife and blade guard
undamaged?
6.
Check spindle moulder:
− Cutter guard undamaged?
Weekly:
1.
Remove chips and dust with dust
collector or brush from:
− thicknesser bed spindles;

− guide extrusion of the cutterblock
guard extrusion;
− tilting mechanism of the circular
saw;
− chip case;
− height setting mechanism of the
cutter spindle;
− sliding carriage runners.
2.
Apply a light coat of care and main-
tenance spray to the following com-
ponents:
− guide extrusion of the cutterblock
guard extrusion;
− tilting mechanism of the circular
saw;
− sliding carriage runners.
3.
Apply a light coat of anti-seize com-
pound to infeed table, outfeed table
and thicknesser bed.
Monthly:
1.
Dismount all protruding add-on parts
(cutterblock cover, table extension
etc.).
2.
Remove
the
connecting
between
dust
collector
machine.
3.
With the help of another person turn
the machine over and place it on the
rubber buffers on its side.
4.
Tilt sawhead into 45° position and
block with a piece of scrap stock.

5.
Remove the two screws (103) and
take the plastic cover (104) off the
spindle moulder.
6.
Remove dust and chips from all
accessible areas with dust collec-
tor, vacuum or brush.
7.
Apply a light coat of care and main-
tenance spray to the following com-
ponents:
− thicknesser bed spindles;
− tilting mechanism of the circular
saw;
− height setting mechanism of the
circular saw;
− height setting mechanism of the
cutter spindle.
8.
Put plastic cover of the spindle
moulder back on and secure with
the fixing screws.
9.
Return the sawhead to its 0° posi-
tion.
10. With the help of another person
stand the machine back on its feet.
11. Connect the dust collector again.

10.4 Machine Storage

Danger!
Store machine so that
− it can not be started by unauthori-
zed persons and
hoses
− nobody can get injured while the
and
machine is switched off.
Caution!
Do not store machine unpro-
tected outdoors or in damp environ-
ment.
