Instructions
The "Configurator" options are used for direct communication with a specific target device. This differs from
other EVAL or REF board-specific project options available in the menu, which communicate with an XMC™
microcontroller located on the board. Infineon EVAL and REF board MCUs contain firmware that allows
them to communicate directly with a 6EDL71x1 device via an onboard or external debugger for
configuration and monitoring. 6EDL_SPI_LINK is generally not used with such boards. Instead, it is designed
for use with system boards that may contain any MCU but where the MCU does not configure the 6EDL71x1
device.
Attention:
6EDL_SPI_LINK can be used to write to either the RAM or OTP memory in the target 6EDL71x1
device. Do not use the OTP options until all of the parameters are finalized!
