Instructions
1. Install the
Infineon Developer Center
2. After installing the launcher, select the Manage Tools tab and locate the MOTIX™ BPA Motor Control
Workbench to install on the PC.

3. Click the Start button to run the application.
Note:
It is recommended to check regularly for updates and install the updates when they are available.

4. Connect the 6EDL_SPI_LINK adapter to the PC using the USB cable. Note that the green debugger LED
(LED101) glows (pulsations may be observed, which is normal). If LED101 does not glow, it indicates that the
adapter or USB cable is faulty.
5. Connect the 6EDL_SPI_LINK to the target board and power on this board.

Note:
6EDL_SPI_LINK may be warm to touch around the USB connector. This is normal and does not
indicate any fault.
6. On MOTIX™ BPA Motor Control Workbench, click New Project to create a new project using the 6EDL71x1
configurator (see

supported in later versions.
