Cleaning, care, and maintenance

Note
The following applies for all time programs (Pro1, Pro2,
Pro3):
- If the end time is earlier than the start time, the end
time is automatically applied to the next weekday.
The hot water phase is maintained past midnight
and ends on the next weekday at the pre-set end
time.
Note
Activate the required time program in the standard set-
tings (see the section "Operation / Settings / Standard
settings").
Note
To reset the hot water phases you have set, activate the
parameter "Reset to factory settings".
f Note that resetting to factory settings will reset all
the appliance settings to their original factory set-
tings.
5.4.2 Set time format
You can use the P3 parameter to determine whether the time is
displayed in 12 or 24-hour format.
5.4.3 Set temperature display units
You can use the P4 parameter to determine whether the tem-
perature is displayed in Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F). Factory
setting = °C.
5.4.4 Set water hardness

Hard water or water with a high mineral content can
damage the appliance. The HOT 2.6 N 1600 Premium ap-
pliance must be operated with a filter at or below 11 °e
water hardness. .
Before the filter meter can be used correctly, the hardness of the
tap water must be set under P5.

5.4.5 Reset to factory settings
Activating parameter P6 resets the appliance to its original factory
settings.
f After activating parameter P6, you must wait about 10 sec-
onds, unplug the appliance power plug, wait another 10 sec-
onds, and then plug it back in.
The appliance settings will then reset to the factory settings.

5.4.6 Setting the filter capacity
The HOT 2.6 N 1600 Premium appliance should be operated with
a water filter.
The appliance is equipped with a built-in filter meter that deter-
mines the amount of water drawn and indicates via the LEDs on
the display when it is necessary to replace the filter (see „Settings/
Factory Settings/Enable and disable filter meter").
In order to be able to use this function, you must set the filter
capacity under P9 and reset the filter meter each time you change
the filter (see „Settings/Reset filter meter").
f Set the filter capacity in the Configuration menu under P9
between 0 and 9000 liters.
Note
The capacity depends on the filter used and the hardness
of the water. To learn more, read the instructions for the
water filter being used.
5.4.7 Resetting the filter meter
The filter meter must be reset each time the water filter is changed.
f Select P10 in the Configuration menu and once there, confirm
that the setting is „on".
f Press the „OK" button.
The filter meter has now been reset.

Cleaning, care, and maintenance
f Do not use abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents. A damp
cloth is sufficient for cleaning and care of the appliance.
f Check the kitchen faucet regularly. Remove any limescale on
the spout using commercially available descaling agents. Re-
move the special aerator from the screw fitting to descale it.
Flush the appliance and faucet
Note
If the appliance has been in standby mode for more than
a week or has been completely disconnected from the
power supply, we recommend flushing the appliance.
f Leave the hot water outlet valve open for around 3 minutes.
