Inspect the air cleaner element for tears. A torn ele-
ment must be replaced.

If driving under dusty conditions, clean the air
cleaner element more frequently. The surest way to
accelerate engine wear i s to operate the engine with-
out the element or with torn element. Make sure that
the air cleaner element i s i n good condition at all
times. Life of the engine depends largely on this
component!
Remove the drain cap

of the air cleaner box to allow any
water to drain out.
