File Browser Enhancements

The MPC File Browser now supports recursive searching. When searching for files, enter a search term and by
default MPC will search for files that match the search term in the current and all available subfolders. To disable
this, click the Settings icon next to the Search bar and uncheck
You can now view the Size, Date Created, and Date Modified for each file in the File Browser. Tap the gear icon
below the Search bar to open the Browser settings window, and then tap to enable the options you would like to
view.
You can now order the File Browser by column type. Tap the column header to sort the files in ascending or
descending order for the selected column.
You can now Filter the file list in the File Browser by Plugin Presets. Tap the plug icon in the filters list to show only
plugin preset files.
You can now tap and drag samples in the Sample Assign tab to a drum pad. Hold Shift and tap and drag to add the
sample to a specific layer on the pad, indicated by a red bar.

Key Detection

MPC now automatically calculates the key of melodic samples after being loaded.
To view the sample key, load a sample and open in it in Sample Edit or Program Edit modes.

Expanded CV Program Operation

You can now set CV programs to Melodic or Drum operation. Melodic CV programs behave the same as previous
MPC versions. Drum CV programs can be used to configure any pad to output on any CV port.
To set the CV program type:
1. Load a CV program.
2. In the Program section of Main Mode, tap the Keys icon to
select Melodic program, or tap the Pads icon to select Drum
operation.
To edit the assignments of a Drum type CV program:
1. After adding a CV Drum program, click Edit next to CV Map in
the Program Inspector window.
2. In the window that appears:
Use the Pad field to select the pad to edit.
Use the To Port field to select the CV port the pad will
send data on.
Use the Data Type field to select the type of data sent:
Gate, Velocity, or Note.
