14. TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
Display:
First use with water tank: pump
noise - the boiler is not filled
Sparse coffee dispensing,
only drop by drop

Possible Cause
The espresso boiler must be
filled
The system is completely dry;
the pump cannot deliver the
water.
The grind is too fine
Brewing-pressure too low
There is too much ground
coffee
"Flow Control" is completely
closed
Troubleshooting
Follow the instructions for initial
operation in chapters 5.1 and
5.2.
Connect the machine to the
water supply for initial filling
(see chapter 4.3.1) to fill the
boiler with the line pressure.
Use a coarser grind.
Tamp ground coffee only
slightly.
Increase the brewing-pressure.
Use the right coffee amount
(The marking inside the filter
basket can help you find the
right amount of coffee).
Open "Flow Control".
