To avoid corrosion, wipe the cabinet dry after cleaning.
Preventive maintenance should be performed on a yearly basis by qualified service
personnel authorized by GE Healthcare. Different service agreements are available.
Contact your GE Healthcare representative for more information (contact informa-
tion on back cover).
It is important that the user is always attentive about the status and operation of the
equipment. The cause of any abnormal behavior or aberrant noise should be exam-
ined and removed. If the problem is non-trivial, contact your local GE Healthcare rep-
resentative.
Perform yearly pump maintenance according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Replace the conductivity sensor cables yearly.
If the system is not used for a longer time period (more than a few days):
•
Remove the flow kit.
•
Clean the outside of the system.
•
If the system needs to be moved, the system power and air supply must be
switched off prior to moving.
•
Place ÄKTA ready XL in a dust free environment with well-controlled climate.
NOTICE
The storage temperature should be stable and in the range
4°C to 25°C.
The air humidity and air temperature differences should be
kept as low as possible to prevent condensation and corro-
sion.
This instruction describes how to calibrate the air trap level sensors using UNICORN.
For other control softwares, refer to the software documentation to create a similar
procedure.
