TIMER PLAYBACK
REPRODUCTION PAR MINUTERIE
OPERATION
Example: Set WAKE-UP 1 for timer playback from 7:15
to 8:30.

. Turn on the power, and set the unit to the play-
back condition you wish it to start in.
@ Input selector:
To listen to a CD, load a disc in the player. (When
using the PD-P920M, insert discs in magazine trays
1 and 2). To listen to the tuner, use the station call
function to select the station of your choice.
To listen to a tape, load a cassette tape (playback
will begin from the tape in deck I, in the forward
direction PB).
® Set the sound volume as desired (set the volume
control above the point shown in the accompany-
ing illustration. If the volume is set too low, the
sound volume will be raised automatically to this
point when timer playback begins).
® Adjust sound field and tonal characteristics as
desired.
® The SMART operation can also be used to perform
timer playback. In this case, select either SMART
operation A or B.
2. Press the SET button, and within five seconds
press the WAKE-UP button to select either
WAKE-UP 1 or WAKE-UP 2.
To select WAKE-UP 1: press once.
To select WAKE-UP 2: press twice.
® Use the line underneath the numerals to select.
3. Press the SET button.
This will select the starting time set mode.
4. Rotate the TUNING JOG control to set the
desired starting time.
5. Press the SET button.
This will select the end time set mode.
®@ The display will automatically show a time one hour
after the selected starting time. If you wish to
change to another end time, perform step 6.
6. Rotate the TUNING JOG control to set the
desired ending time.
7. Press the SET button.
This completes all settings.
® The display will show the starting time, end time,
function (if the tuner has been selected, the band,
station number, and frequency), or the selected
SMART mode, after which it will revert to the nor-
mal display.
8. To activate the timer:
Select either WAKE-UP 1 or WAKE-UP 2.
If the power is currently turned on, turn it off.
@ Use the line underneath the numerals to select.

Exemple : Réglage de WAKE-UP 1 pour une reproduction
par minuterie de 7:15 a 8:30.

Mettre l'appareil sous tension et le régler sur la
condition de reproduction dans laquelle il doit
démarrer.
® Sélecteur d'entrée :
Pour écouter un CD, charger un disque dans le lec-
teur. (Lors de l'utilisation du PD-P920M, insérer des
disques dans les plateaux de magasin chargeur 1
et 2). Pour écouter le tuner, utiliser la fonction
d'appel de station pour sélectionner la station
désirée.
Pour écouter une bande, charger une bande cas-
sette (la reproduction commence & partir de la
bande dans la platine |, dans le sens avant BP).
® Régler le volume sonore au niveau désiré (régler
la commande de volume au-dessus du point repré-
senté sur |'illustration. Si fe volume est réglé trop
bas, il sera automatiquement augmenté jusqu'a ce
point lorsque la reproduction par minuterie
commence).
® Régler le champ sonore et les caractéristiques tona-
les comme désiré.
® La fonction SMART OPERATION peut également
tre utilisée pour effectuer une reproduction par
minuterie. Dans ce cas, sélectionner SMART OPE-
RATION soit A soit B.
. Appuyer sur la touche SET et, en moins de cing
secondes, appuyer sur la touche WAKE-UP pour
sélectionner soit WAKE-UP 1 soit WAKE-UP 2.
Pour sélectionner WAKE-UP 1 : Appuyer une fois.
Pour sélectionner WAKE-UP 2 : Appuyer deux fois.
® Utiliser la ligne sous les chiffres pour sélectionner.
. Appuyer sur la touche SET.
Cela sélectionne le mode de réglage de |'heure de
démarrage.
. Tourner le cadran TUNING JOG pour régler
Iheure de démarrage désirée.
. Appuyer sur la touche SET.
Cela sélectionne le mode de réglage de I'heure de fin.
® L'affichage indique automatiquement une heure de
plus que I'heure de démarrage sélectionnée. Pour
changer l'heure de fin, effectuer |'opération 6.
. Tourner le cadran TUNING JOG pour régler
l'heure de fin désirée.
. Appuyer sur la touche SET.
Cela compléte tous les réglages.
® L'affichage indique I'heure de démarrage, |'heure
de fin, la fonction (si le tuner a été sélectionné, la
gamme, le numéro de station et la fréquence) ou
le mode SMART sélectionné, aprés quai il revient
a l'indication normale.
. Pour activer la minuterie :
Sélectionner soit WAKE-UP 1 soit WAKE-UP 2.
Si I'alimentation est activée, la couper.
® Utiliser la ligne sous les chiffres pour sélectionner.
