FRONT PANEL FACILITIES
ELEMENTS DU PANNEAU AVANT
EFFECT ON/OFF button
Pressing this button to ON allows you to select sound
fields and adjust the effects. When the button is set
to OFF, the sound source is reproduced without
modification.
@) Surround & stereo wide button
(SURROUND & ST.WIDE)
When this button is set to ON, playback sounds are
given an additional sense of presence and fullness. If
surround speakers are connected, sound is reproduced
in ''surround'' mode; if no surround speakers are con-
nected, sound will be reproduced with the ''stereo
wide"' effect.
SMART equalizer button (SMART EQ.)
When this button is set to ON, the sound will be au-
tomatically augmented in accordance with the source,
in order to allow the modified sound field effects to
be reproduced with optimum results.
@) Recording mode button (REC MODE)
Press this button to ON when recording on tape in ord-
er to produce sound response optimally suited for use
in a car stereo or headphone stereo. The mode
changes with each press of the button, as follows:
>> CAR (car stereo) ~ H.P (headphone stereo) > oh
2 STANDARD button
When this button is pressed, the unit will be set to
a previously selected sound field.
@3 DISPLAY button
Each time this button is pressed, the items shown on
the display change.

@ Touche d'ambiance et stéréo élargie
(SURROUND & ST.WIDE)
Lorsque cette touche-est réglée sur la position ON, une
sensation de présence et de richesse est ajoutée aux
sons reproduits. Si des enceintes d'ambiance sont con-
nectées,

est reproduit
dans
le mode
"'d'ambiance''; si des enceintes d'ambiance ne sont
pas connectées, le son est reproduit avec l'effet "'sté-
réo élargie''.

@ Touche STANDARD
Lorsque cette touche est enfoncée, l'appareil est réglé
sur un champ sonore précédemment sélectionné.
@ Touche d'affichage (DISPLAY)
Chaque fois que cette touche est enfoncée, les élé-
ments indiqués sur l'affichage changent.
