4.5.2 Class-1 Connection

The class-1 connection is a cyclic I/O connection using TCP transport. The EtherNet/IP interface supports maximum 1 Class-1 con-
nection, but several listen-only connections can be established if multicast is selected as the transport type.
The connection is established with a forward open command. See
