STU 111/SECTEL as a secure device. It explains classification levels
of the unit and its display.
If your system is already set up, filled with an operational key, and
you wish to make a call, turn to Chapter 5, Voice Communication,
or Chapter 6, Data Communication (Secure Mode Only). These
two chapters show how to send or receive voice calls in either
clear or secure modes, how to set protocols for data
communication, and how to send or receive a data file in the
secure mode only.
Chapter 7 covers equipment Care and Cleaning. Chapter 8,
Troubleshooting, explains how to isolate faults with the system
and provides a list of error display messages; and Chapter 9
discusses the Models and Accessories available for the STU Ill/
SECTEL system.
Most of the instructions in this manual apply to both the STU Ill/
SECTEL 1000 and STU 111/SECTEL 2000. Any differences that
exist are individually addressed.
Ninety percent of our commercial and military communications
are transmitted (at least in part) via microwave or satellite
