Message Display Contrast Adjustment
The message display contrast can be adjusted by a knob on the
rear of the terminal (Figure 2-5) to produce the most effective
viewing. To adjust the message display, place yourself at the
viewing angle at which the terminal will be used, and slowly turn
the knob until the best contrast is achieved. If the display message
disappears during this procedure, turn the knob in the opposite
direction.

Messages
The STU 111/SECTEL's menu-driven software provides users with
information via the message display. The 32-character interface is
capable of displaying over 150 different messages, including
configuration prompts, operational status, and error information.
Chapter 8, Troubleshooting, of this User's Guide contains those
display messages which inform the user when the terminal is not
operating properly or when it has failed to perform a selected
function.
Appendix A, Display Messages, contains configuration prompts
and operational status display messages, any of which may appear
in the course of normal operation.
