7. Remove bearing assembly bolts at the 10
o'clock, 2 o'clock, 4 o'clock, and 8 o'clock
position. See Figure 2-18.

Insert pilot rods into bearing bolt holes
and tighten. Pilot rods will serve as
supports when removing the bearing
assembly later.
9. Insert 4 jack bolts (M 16 - 60 bolts -
with
at least 2 inches of thread) into threaded
holes in bearing assembly and tighten,
loosening the the bearing assembly from
the backplate. This will cause the basket
to move toward the rear of the machine
and touch the shell back, as well as create
a gap between the backplate and the
bearing assembly, exposing the basket
shaft. See Figure 2-19.
