Before first use
NOTE
As every steam brush is tested for functional-
ity after manufacture, it is possible that drop-
lets of water remain in the water tank 1.
Fill the water tank with water 1 (see chapter

"Filling the appliance with water").

Insert the plug 7 into a properly installed and
grounded wall socket.
Hold the steam brush horizontally.
Set the temperature control 3 to "MAX".
Heat the steam brush up for several minutes at
the highest setting. This will loosen production
residue from the ironing sole 0.
Activate the steam blast button 8 several times
so that steam comes out of the ironing sole 0.
Then iron over a piece of scrap fabric to remove
any production residues that may remain on the
ironing sole 0.
NOTE
The first time the appliance heats up, a small
amount of smoke and odour may result from
production-related residues. This is normal and
is completely harmless. Ensure sufficient venti-
lation; for example, by opening a window.

Operation

NOTES
If the clothing care instructions forbid ironing
(
symbol), the clothing item must not be
treated with the steam brush. Ignoring this
warning could lead to permanent damage to
the clothing item.
Do not treat leather, velvet, waterproofed
furniture or fabrics that are sensitive to steam.
Otherwise, you might cause damage to the
textile or piece of furniture.
Filling the appliance with water
CAUTION!
Only fill the water tank 1 with tap water or
a mixture of tap and distilled water. Never fill
the water tank 1 with chemical substances,
cleaning agents (except descaling agent) or
other liquids. Do not use chemically softened
water. This could cause irreparable damage
to the appliance.
If the mains water in your location is rated as hard,
we recommend that you mix the mains water with
some distilled water. Otherwise, the jets for the
steam blast function could become blocked with
limescale prematurely.
To extend the optimal steam blast function, mix mains
water with distilled water according to the table.
