The GPC allows programs to be written in both ladder diagram and

having to be connected to the PC; once completed, the program can be

transferred to the PC's internal memory. For storage purposes, the
program can also be transferred to a cassette tape. During operation of
the PC, the GPC can be connected to the PC to monitor the PC's
operating status. A program written on the GPC can be printed out if a
printer is connected to the GPC via the printer interface unit.
Moreover, if the floppy disk unit is connected, high-speed transfer of the
program to a floppy disk can be achieved.

The CRT features two registration functions: label registration and user

program registration. A "label" is a four-digit alphanumeric code
assigned to a desired relay number making it possible for the relay

numbers to be mnemonically used. With the user program registration

function, a repeatedly used program can be registered and then easily
called from memory whenever it is needed.
One of the other advantages of the CRT is that more peripheral devices
can be connected to the CRT than is possible with the GPC.
Specifically, as shown, an X-Y plotter and video printer can be connected
in addition to a printer and cassette tape recorder. For details, refer to the
