Description

The APC-AMC2-4R4CF (also called AMC2-4R4, AMC2, or controller) is equipped with four
independent interfaces for RS-485 type readers. It is able to control up to four doors with a
reader in each direction and up to eight doors with a reader in one direction only.
The APC-AMC2-4WCF (also called AMC2-4W , AMC2, or controller) is equipped with four
independent interfaces for Wiegand type readers. It is able to control two doors with a reader
in each direction and up to four doors with a reader in one direction only.
The extension module AMC2-4WE is equipped with four Wiegand type reader-interfaces plus
eight inputs and eight outputs. Hence with the AMC2-4WE it is possible to double the number
of readers on an AMC2-4W from 4 to 8.
The AMC2-16ION board provides inputs and outputs to control doors and other components
independent of access control system.
The extension board AMC2-16IOE can be used with an AMC2 controller. It serves additional
inputs and outputs.
The AMC2-4R4 (also called AMC2 or controller) access control unit provides complete access
control for a single entrance. Two card readers (or keyboard card readers) can be connected
and controlled via the two Wiegand interfaces plus up to two readers via the RS-485 interface
and one via the RS-232 interface.
The RS-232 interface here is not used for simple access control readers, but rather for
supplementary identification methods such as biometric (finger print, iris scan) scanners or
long-range readers.
