Install the shift control cable (1) and throttle control cable (2) by
aligning their grooves (3) with the grooves in the cable plate.
Put the remote control cables in under case grommet A (4).
Set the grommet band (1) and tighten the screw (2). Make sure the
fuel tube A is not pinched by the under case grommet A (3).
SHIFT CABLE CONNECTION
• Before connecting the shift control cable, check that the cable is
connected to the remote control box side properly.
1. Install the shift pivot (1) to the shift control cable.

grease to the mating surface of the shift pivot.

Move the remote control lever (2) fully to the "F" (Forward) side (3).
Return the lever to the "N" (Neutral) position (4) slowly.
3. With the lever returned to the "N" (Neutral) position, make a mark
at the cable outer seal end (5) on the inner cable (6) [Mark (A)
(7)].
4. Move the remote control lever fully to the "R" (Reverse) side (1).
Return the lever to the "N" (Neutral) position (2) slowly.
5. With the lever returned to the "N" (Neutral) position, make a mark
on the cable outer seal end of the inner cable [Mark (B) (3)].
