Pick-up Head Speed Manifold Adjustment
The manifold valve pressure on each head of the merger may not be adjusted properly causing the head
pick-ups to possibly run slow or stall out in certain conditions. Adjustment is made by the following steps;
1. Unlock the lock ring on the valve by rotating it "CLOCKWISE". (See the arrow in picture for location)
2. Then turn the DIAL "CLOCKWISE" until it tightens.
3. Turn the lock ring "COUNTERCLOCKWISE" until it tightens against the DIAL.
4. Procedure is complete.
Skid Shoe Adjustment
Skid shoes can be adjusted manually
from the rear of the head by removing
the pin.
Then using a 3/4" wrench, turn the
adjustment rod to raise or lower the skid
shoe to the desired height. Skid shoes
should be adjusted evenly, there are 2
skid shoes per head 4 per merger.
