1. Remove the five screws (M2.5x6) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Loosen the four captive screws on the base cover.
3. Remove the two screws (M1.2x1.2) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
