The following terms are used in the CBL 2 documentation.
Term
Definition
accuracy
The degree of conformity of a measure to a standard or a true
value
archive
Store data or programs in the FLASH memory of the CBL 2. (See
page 9.)
auto-ID
Automatic Identification. Feature that allows the CBL 2 to
automatically identify specific sensors when they are connected
to a CBL 2 channel.
CMOS
Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor
FASTMODE
A data collection mode in which the CBL 2 collects data on a
single analog channel at a very fast sample rate, stores it
internally until all of the data points are taken, and then sends
it to the calculator.
FLASH
FLASH is a technology built into CBL 2 that lets you
electronically upgrade the CBL 2's operating system by
downloading future releases from TI's web site.
non-realtime
A data collection mode in which the CBL 2 collects data, stores
it internally until all the data is collected, and then sends it to
the calculator.
precision
The degree of refinement with which an operation is
performed or a measurement stated
realtime
A data collection mode in which the CBL 2 collects data and
sends it to the calculator as each point is taken.
resolution
The process or capability of making distinguishable the
individual parts of an object
