2 Applying or Removing a Pod

2.7. Prepare the Pod Site

To reduce the risk of infection at the Pod site:
1. Wash your hands with soap and water.
2. Wash your selected Pod site with soap and water.
Note: Antibacterial soap may irritate skin, especially at
the Pod site. Ask your healthcare provider how to treat any
skin irritation.
3. Dry the Pod site with a clean towel.
4. Use an alcohol prep swab to disinfect the Pod site. Start at the center
of the site and gently rub outward in a circular motion.
5. Let the Pod site air-dry thoroughly. Do not blow on the site to dry it.

2.8. Fill the Syringe to the "Fill Here" Line

Follow every step to fill the syringe that came with the Pod with insulin:

Caution:
the marked "Fill Here" line. Using less
insulin could cause the Pod to run out
of insulin before the 3-day expected
delivery time. Using more insulin will
result in wasting the excess insulin.
Caution:
the Omnipod GO Pod prescribed for you. Never
use a different syringe to fill the Pod. Using
the wrong syringe to fill the Pod could result in
overfill or underfill of the Pod, which can lead to
wasted insulin or the Pod running out of insulin
before the 3-day expected delivery time.

Handle the fill needle with care to avoid
accidental injury.
