SELF-DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION AND DIAGNOSTIC CODE TABLE (SCU)
TIP
• If there is a malfunction in the electronically adjustable suspension system, the damping force adjust-
ing function "1" will be displayed in the function display, the electronically adjustable suspension sys-
tem warning light "2" will come on, and a fault code number "3" will be displayed.
• Fault code numbers for the electronically adjustable suspension system are not displayed together
with the fault code numbers for other systems. Therefore, fault code numbers for other systems may
be displayed after the malfunctions in the electronically adjustable suspension system are repaired. If
there are malfunctions in other systems, refer to the troubleshooting sections for the systems indicat-
ed by the warning lights.

code No.
EEPROM fault code number: an error is detected while reading from

or writing on EEPROM.
46 Charging voltage is abnormal.
50 SCU (suspension control unit): open or short circuit detected.
Signals cannot be transmitted between the SCU and the ECU and be-
tween the SCU and the meter assembly.

(Fault code No. 89 is displayed in the multi-function meter right display
only when abnormal ECU communication is detected.)
93 Stepping motor: open or short circuit detected.
Preload adjusting motor (rear shock absorber assembly DC motor) is
locked, rotary encoder signal is not received, encoder signal is re-

versed, or motor rotates continuously at a low speed during the diag-
nostic mode (code No. 84 [preload home position adjustment]).
95 Defective preload adjusting motor (DC motor).
