7. Grasp the handle on the blade containing the malfunctioning drive and carefully
pull the blade out of the chassis until the drive you want to remove is accessible.
Warning
Do not operate the nTier700 with the blades pulled out of the
enclosure except when servicing the drives. Extending the
blades exposes electrical components that pose a potential
risk of heat and fire associated with high energy short
circuits. If you pull a blade out from the enclosure:
Do not allow conductive objects to contact the circuit board
and connector that are exposed when a drive is removed (to
prevent potential risk of heat and fire associated with high
energy short circuits).
Make sure you slide the blade completely into the enclosure
as soon as you are finished.
