    After powering off a drive that needs replacing, pull the blade containing the drive out from the chassis gently to prevent possible vibration issues with the other drives, which are still powered on and running. Recycling Your nTier700 For information on recycling your SpectranTier700, check the Spectra Logic web site.

    Chapter 2 – Installing the nTier700 Install in a Restricted Access Location The Spectra nTier700 chassis serves as a protective enclosure when the blades are in their normal operating position. Pulling the blades out to service the drives opens the protective enclosure.

    120 Volt-AC Power Cord for Use the Spectra nTier700 Intelligent Secondary Storage appliance are standard, three- conductor, 14-AWG power cords safe for 120-volt use in the United States and Canada. The cable has a molded NEMA 5-15P male connector to plug into an electrical outlet and a molded IEC 60320 C13 female connector to plug into the nTier700 unit.
