ENGINE OPERATION

Note: When operating a machine at high altitudes, a decrease in machine perform-
ance may occur due to a decrease in air density.
Note: When operating a machine at high ambient temperatures, a decrease in ma-
chine performance and an increase in engine coolant temperature may occur.
Note: Avoid repeated, low intensity, or periodic machine operation and extended en-
gine idle times in cold weather environments.
For every 8 hours of low intensity machine operation or extended engine idle time,
drive the machine continuously for 15 minutes.
Note: Contact JLG Customer Service for operation under abnormal conditions.
4.5.1 Starting Procedure
Note: Initial starting should always be performed from the Ground Control station.
Make sure to perform a ground control function check prior to platform
operation.
