1.20 DUCTING OF FLUES OR TECHNICAL SLOTS

Ducting is an operation through which, via the introduction of one or more relevant pipes, one achieves a system for the evacuation of the
combustion products of a gas appliance, made up from the coupling of an existing or new ducting pipe with a chimney, flue or technical
slot (also in new buildings) (Fig. 31).
Ducting requires ducts declared to be suitable for the purpose by the manufacturer, following the installation and user instructions,
provided by the manufacturer and the requirements of the regulations in force.
Immergas ducting systems
The Ø 60 rigid, Ø 50 and Ø 80 flexible and Ø 80 rigid "Green Range" ducting systems must only be used for domestic use and
with Immergas condensing appliances.
In any case, ducting operations must respect the provisions contained in the standard and in current technical regulations; in particular,
the declaration of conformity must be compiled at the end of work and on commissioning of the ducted system.
The instructions in the project or technical report must likewise be followed, in cases provided for by the standard and current technical
regulations.
To guarantee reliability and operation over time of the ducting system, make sure:
- it is used in average atmospheric and environmental conditions, according to current regulations (absence of combustion products,
dusts or gases that can alter the normal thermophysical or chemical conditions; existence of temperatures coming within the stand-
ard range of daily variation, etc.).
- Installation and maintenance must be performed according to the indications supplied by the manufacturer included with the "green
range" ducting system chosen and in compliance with the regulations in force.
- The maximum length specified by the manufacturer must be respected; in this regard:
• The max. possible length of the Ø 60 flexible ducting vertical section is equal to 20 m. This length is obtained considering the com-
plete of Ø 80, 1 exhaust terminal, 1m of Ø 90 pipe in exhaust, two 80° Ø 80 bends at appliance outlet.
• The max. possible length of the Ø 80 flexible ducting vertical section is equal to 25 m. This length is obtained considering the Ø 80, 1
complete exhaust terminal, 1m of Ø 90 pipe in exhaust, two 80° Ø 80 bends at appliance outlet for connecting to the ducting system
and two direction changes of the flexible hose inside the chimney/technical slot.
• The max. possible length of the Ø 80 rigid ducting vertical section is equal to 30 m. This length is obtained considering the complete
Ø 80 exhaust terminal, 1 m of Ø 80 pipe in exhaust, two 90° Ø 80 bends at appliance outlet.
• The maximum length of the Ø50 flexible ducted vertical section is 20 m straight, length obtained by setting the fan speed at 6700
rpm, for Victrix Tera V2 28 EU, 15 m straight, length obtained by setting the fan speed at 6800 rpm, for Victrix Tera V2 32 EU and 12
m straight, length obtained by setting the fan speed at 6800 rpm, for Victrix Tera V2 38 EU. This length is obtained considering the
complete Ø 80 exhaust terminal, 1 m of Ø 80 pipe in exhaust, two 90° Ø80 bends at appliance outlet and the reduced Ø80/50 T-fitting.
